Student Opportunities
Tufts University Art Galleries (TUAG) provides a space where visual arts and learning intersect at every level. Presenting world-class contemporary art and innovative programming in galleries across two campuses, TUAG creates a dynamic classroom where students across disciplines can learn directly from artists and objects.
There are many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to get involved at both our Medford and Boston locations and are open to any student, regardless of major. Students interested in working in the museum field, or the art world more broadly, receive excellent professional development experience.
Faculty Connections
There are many ways—with no set formula—for faculty to get involved with the Galleries. You can visit with your class, arrange a tour with a student Gallery Attendant, or develop a class session to co-teach with the Manager of Academic Programs. As exhibitions rotate, there are opportunities to offer scholarly expertise by contributing to interpretative materials for exhibits and/or to participate in or co-host a public program in conjunction with the exhibitions. If you have an idea you’d like to discuss, please contact contact our Manager of Academic Programs.
