PROGRAM POSTPONED — Due to unforeseen circumstances we are postponing this alumni panel to a later date. We apologize for the inconvenience and will follow up with rescheduling information as soon as it’s available.

The Tufts University Art Galleries in partnership with the SMFA Office of Development and Alumni Engagement welcome current SMFA students, SMFA alumni, and Boston community members to join artists Avram Finkelstein, Gail Thacker, and Shellburne Thurber for a panel conversation moderated by guest curator of As the World Burns: Queer Photography and Nightlife in Boston Jackson Davidow, PhD. Finkelstein, Thacker, and Thurber’s artworks are featured in the exhibition and explore the relationships among community photographic practices, queer nightlife, and gay liberation in Boston. Their conversation will focus on the intersections of these themes within queer communities at the SMFA and their continued legacies.
