The SMFA Art Sale is Now Open In-Person |
After two years as an online event, the SMFA Art Sale is now open, in-person! The SMFA Art Sale has been the leading contemporary art sale in New England since its creation, over 40 years ago. BUY ART: Discover works from emerging and established artists—students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. DO GOOD: Proceeds from this year’s sale will provide crucial support to ensure equitable access to an SMFA education through much needed financial aid assistance, making it possible for SMFA to truly support the next generation of artists. Sale Dates Friday, November 4, 10 am-8 pm Saturday, November 5, 10 am-5 pm Sunday, November 6, 10 am-5 pm |

SMFA Alumni: Apply for a Traveling Fellowship |
Since 1899, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University has awarded Traveling Fellowships (formerly called Traveling Scholarships) to select alumni. As one of the largest endowed art school grant programs in the country, the Traveling Fellowship program provides funds for artists to further develop and inform their practice. Only SMFA graduates of the BFA, Post-Baccalaureate, MFA, Combined Degree, Studio Diploma, or MAT programs may apply. Alumni may be working in any contemporary visual art discipline. Anyone who previously applied, but has not won a Traveling Fellowship, is encouraged to apply again; however, previous winners of a Traveling Fellowship (or, previously, “Traveling Scholarship”) are not eligible. Applications are open now and close at midnight on November 11, 2022. The jury process begins in November with funds announced and distributed in January 2023. |
