Fostering Queer Community at SMFA |
|
In partnership with the SMFA Office of Development and Alumni Engagemen, TUAG welcomes current SMFA students, SMFA alumni, and Boston community members to join artists Avram Finkelstein, Gail Thacker, and Shellburne Thurber for a panel conversation moderated by guest curator of As the World Burns: Queer Photography and Nightlife in Boston Jackson Davidow, PhD. Finkelstein, Thacker, and Thurber’s artworks are featured in the exhibition and explore the relationship among community photographic practices, queer nightlife, and gay liberation in Boston.
