re:imagining collections invites five contemporary artists—Ali Cherri, Nicole Cherubini, Lily Cox-Richard, NIC Kay, and SANGREE—to respond to a selection of ancient artworks, dating from the fifth century BCE to the seventh century CE, given to Tufts University over the past half century. While woefully under-studied and notably under-documented, these artworks represent some of the most vital and historically significant works in our small but eclectic university collection—one that has accrued over time through gifts, donations, and acquisitions and is used increasingly for teaching.

Co-organized by TUAG’s Director Dina Deitsch and Manager of Collections Laura McDonald, the exhibition is presented across both TUAG locations in Medford and Boston
