| Artist Tour with Beverly Semmes and Jennie Jieun Lee |
Much of the focus on the work of Beverly Semmes centers the artist’s fabric works—large scale “soft sculptures” that unexpectedly play with proportion and material to ask questions about space and visibility. However, our upcoming artist tour with Semmes and SMFA Professor of the Practice in Ceramics and fellow SMFA alumna Jennie Jieune Lee will shine the spotlight on Semmes’ quietly subsersive ceramic works alongside exploration of the tactility and materiality of the artist’s textiles and paintings, diving deep into her artistic process over four decades of making. WHEN: Sunday, November 16 | 2PM Don’t miss this final event of the Fall 2025 season—RSVP here. |
