Join us for the final program of the Fall 2025 season, a tour of Boulders / Flag / Flip / Kick at TUAG / Medford with the artist, Beverly Semmes, in conversation with Jennie Jieun Lee, SMFA Professor of the Practice in Ceramics. This walkthrough of the exhibition will highlight the tactility and materiality of Semmes’ work in ceramics, textiles, and painting, as well as her artistic process over four decades of making. Closing at TUAG / Boston this Sunday, November 9, How do you throw a brick through the window…presents new commissions and recent works of art exploring how individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and neurodivergence navigate forms of protest despite the normalization of ableism in public spaces. Make sure to catch this stunning exhibition before it moves to the John Michael Kohler Arts Center (JMKAC) in Sheboygan, WI, where it will be on view from March 14–October 4, 2026. TUAG / Boston will be open 11am–5pm through Sunday, before closing for the installation of Magical Thinking, of Systems and Beliefs, opening January 29. |

Discover 2,000+ works from nearly 600 emerging and established artists—alumni, faculty, students, and friends of SMFA (School of the Museum of Fine Arts) at Tufts—at New England’s largest public art sale, now in its 47th year. Each year proceeds from the SMFA Art Sale provide crucial financial aid assistance for students, while also supporting the careers of practicing artists. Exhibiting artists contribute at least 50% of the sale of their works to support financial aid at SMFA, student artists contribute 25%. Your purchases make it possible for SMFA at Tufts to truly support arts education for the next generation of artists and creative leaders. Public sale days start Friday, December 5 and continue through Sunday, December 7. |
