Please join us at TUAG / Medford for a community-wide reception to celebrate How do you throw a brick through the window… and VIP Tour with [TK]. How do you throw a brick through the window… features the work of seven artists—Yani aviles, Chloe P. Crawford, Nat Decker, Jeff Kasper, Carly Mandel, Jeffrey Meris, and Libby Paloma—who engage the radical questioning of Korean American writer, artist, and musician Johanna Hedva: “How do you throw a brick through the window of a bank if you can’t get out of bed?” to explore how individuals with disabilities navigate forms of protest despite the normalization of ableism in public spaces. Learn more about the opportunities to celebrate with us and please RSVP using the links below: VIP TOUR Join us for a VIP tour of How do you throw a brick through the window… before the public celebration with [TK]. Register for the VIP Tour here. COMMUNITY RECEPTION Register for the VIP Tour here. The exhibition is co-organized by TUAG Curator Laurel V. McLaughlin and John Michael Kohler Arts Center Associate Curator Tanya Gayer in dialogue with the artists. The accompanying symposium for HDYTB and pre-exhibition programming at TUAG were supported by a curatorial research fellowship from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts for Laurel V. McLaughlin. Access for programming support for the exhibition is provided by an anonymous donor. Generous support for TUAG’s Fall 2025 Season is provided by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. |
