Saying Goodbye to the Season of Sound + Performance |
Apr 22, 2025 |
Thank You to Our Audiences! |
|
This past Sunday marked the final day of our two Fall 2025 exhibitions—Impossible Music at TUAG / Medford and an archive and/or a repertoire at TUAG / Boston. We took to calling the presentation of this pair of shows our “season of sound and performance,” a chance to wholly embrace these two mediums to often harmonious, occasionally cacophonous, and always surprising ends. This spring, we found our galleries filled with audiences eager to be in community with one another. As we gathered—to hear Imaginary Music made real, take in the delightful dissonance of improvised violin and voice synthesized in real time, or watch and participate in a daylong, building-wide performance activation—we truly felt the transformative power of sound and performance as a tool for social change, innovation, and empowerment. We are deeply grateful to the scores of artists and collaborators who made these exhibitions possible, and of course, to you, our community, for your continuous support of vibrant, experimental contemporary art and programming. Thank you! |
