A Season of Sound + Performance |
|
The holidays have come and gone and the start of 2025 is upon us! This new year brings us to a brand new season at TUAG, with two exciting exhibitions in our Medford and Boston (SMFA at Tufts) locations opening this month and a range of programs led by interdisciplinary innovators in sound and performance starting January 16. From a series of player piano sessions featuring the boundary-defying work of composer Conlon Nancarrow, to a performance collaboration with C. Spencer Yeh and legendary Boston-based experimental music outlet Non-Event for Impossible Music to a day of performances, sound works, and installations responding to the work of Mobius Artists Group members past and present and a new durationalperformance commission by Lani Asunción and collaborators Magdalena Abrego and Matthew Azevedo in conjunction with an archive and/or a repertoire, we are proud spotlight artists who push the limits of sound and performance art. Below, you can learn more about our upcoming season, register for the community-wide openings and performances to celebrate Impossible Music and an archive and/or a repertoire, and explore our full slate of sound, new media, and performance-based programming in the months ahead. |
