Artists Sarah Kanouse and Nicholas Brown will be in dialogue with Faries Gray and Elizabeth Solomon, both of the Massachusett Tribe at Ponkapoag, and Kristen Wyman (Natick Nipmuc) and Nia Holley (Nipmuc) with the Eastern Woodland Rematriation collective, on the present-day work of cultural regeneration and commemoration, with a focus on Boston-area Native history. This discussion is in conjunction with Ecologies of Acknowledgment, an artist project which focuses on the land use histories of Deer Island in the Boston Harbor.
