Manna Remix: An Evolving Selection from the Tufts Permanent Art Collection

January 22 – April 19, 2015
Koppelman Family Gallery

Called "A commanding, panoramic, and wonderful art-feast" by Artscope MagazineManna: Masterworks from the Tufts University Permanent Art Collection, our popular and critically acclaimed Fall 2014 exhibition, has been remixed as the first in a series of evolving selections from the University Permanent Art collection on view in the Koppelman Gallery. This reprise exhibition, featuring 32 works by 15 artists, is loosely organized around themes of "face", "body", and "ground," and has been reconfigured to spark new insights for our guided tour program and class visits. Works by Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Marilyn Bridges, Larry Fink, Danny Lyon, F. Luis Mora, Alice Neel, Louise Nevelson, Gilles Peress, Masaaki Sato, Beverly Semmes, an unknown Aztec carver, Peter Wilde, and William Zorach, are included in the exhibition. Be sure to look for our new acquisition, Nina Katchadourian's In a Room Full of Strangers video triptych adjacent to the entrance of the Tisch Family Gallery.
