Works by Elliott Erwitt, Andre Kertesz, Juhan Kuus, Jim MacMillan, Gilles Peress, and Yoram Wolberger
September 9 – December 19, 2004 Remis Sculpture Court
The photographs, paintings, and sculpture in this inaugural Remis Sculpture Court exhibition, conceived to dovetail with the Institute for Global Leadership's 20th Anniversary exhibitions, offer selective insight into the subject of war and its consequences in the years since World War I. This brief and incomplete survey reminds us that war often seems to be more the norm than peace. Included are a selection of ten photographs from the Tufts University Permanent Art Collection by Elliott Erwitt, Andre Kertesz, Juhan Kuus, and Gilles Peress, in addition to a new acquisition of First Light 9/12/01 by Tufts/Museum School alum and photojournalist Jim MacMillan taken at the World Trade Center.
